Welcome to the Junior branch of the Barnsley FC Supporters Trust

Benefits of Membership

Money Off: 10% discount on purchases in the Barnsley FC Superstore (excludes match day programmes, DVD's and items in the sale or discounted in price).  

Monthly Members Draw:  All members are entered into a monthly draw to win a £10 voucher for use in the Barnsley FC Superstore

Free Away Match Tickets: opportunity to apply for free tickets to selected away games. These tickets are only available to junior members and a guardian. Details of the games will be announced on our website, the official club website and via email. Details can also be found by calling in to the Supporters Trust Office at Oakwell.

Coach Travel: Coach travel to selected games taking part in the 50:50 away ticket scheme.

Mascots: Opportunity to apply to be the official Barnsley FC Mascot at away games. Again details can be found on our website or by contacting the trust using the email address above

Monthly Meetings: monthly meetings are held in the academy at Oakwell prior to selected first team games. These meetings run from 12.45 until 1.45pm and you get the opportunity to have a game of football, enter a quiz and meet a couple of first team Barnsley players, subject to availability.

Fans Forum Meetings and Social events: Access to the regular Supporters Trust Fans Forum Meetings and appropriate social events.

TYKES TARGET CHALLENGE - Wednesday, August 26, 2009

HOW would you like to take part in our brand new half time game - The Tykes Target Challenge.

Organised in association with the Supporters Trust, The Tykes Target Challenge will see two youngsters - one Reds fan and another representing the visiting team - go head-to-head with five shots on goal on the pitch at half time.

Both youngsters will a football signed by the captain of their own team while the winner will be the one who nets the most goals. The winner will also receive a 'Tykes Target Challenge' t-shirt.

Netting all five will net the victor a special Sunday Lunch for two at The Full House in Monk Bretton

The highest Barnsley point scorers over the season will get the chance to compete in a special final at the end of the campaign.

MASCOTS REQUIRED - Thursday, August 06, 2009

How would you fancy leading the Reds in action at forthcoming away game? 

You could be a mascot at one of our away matches during 2009/2010 and all you have to do is join the Oakwell Junior Supporters Club.

Membership of the Oakwell Juniors costs just £4.00 per year and youngsters will have the chance to be an away day mascot for the Reds throughout 2009/2010. Mascot packages are normally available for youngsters aged five to 12.

We are now looking for mascots for the following away games

  • QPR - Saturday 26th September
  • Notts Forest - Tuesday 20th October
  • Peterborough - Saturday 31st October

We would particularly like to hear from members who haven't yet been a mascot.

 

 
50:50 Ticket offer v Derby County - Thursday, August 06, 2009

We are currently accepting application for junior 50:50 Away match tickets from the juniors for our forthcoming fixture against Derby County at Pride Park on Tuesday 15th September ko 7.45pm

It is planned to hold a Junior Meeting on the 15th August prior to the Coventry City game in the Academy.  The meeting will start at 12.45 until 2.00pm

 

 
Meeting for all Young Barnsley Supporters’ - Thursday, July 09, 2009

Barnsley FC and Barnsley FC Supporters’ Trust are committed to making Barnsley FC a Community and family club, where all Supporters are made to feel part of the club and have an important role to play in taking Barnsley FC forward.
 
To help take this commitment forward meeting of the Oakwell Juniors Supporters Club will be held on Monday 13th July at The Full House Rotherham Road Monk Bretton S71 2NW starting 7.00pm.
 
All Parents and young reds are invited to attend; you don’t have to be a member to attend,
 
Rachel Hearne, from Barnsley FC marketing department will be there as well.
 
The main focus of this meeting will be on Junior Reds and new plans for the family stand. We are also pleased to announce we will be carrying on with the Academy sessions and the 50/50 ticketing scheme. We will, announce these games as they become known.
 
Please come along and have your say in how you want the Juniors set up to progress and how you can volunteer to get involved.

Meeting to discuss future plans for the Oakwell Juniors Supporters Club - Wednesday, June 24, 2009

We are hoping to hold a meeting to  discuss the future plans for the Oakwell Juniors Supporters Club.  This has been tentively penciled in for Monday 13th July at the Full House in Monk Bretton starting at 7.00pm.  We hope as many parents and juniors as possible can come along and help to shape the future of the club.
